About Alexa Rehder
Hey, I'm Alexa! I grew up here in Red Wing, MN. I absolutely love all things hair. Extension and custom color are some of my favorite services to do in the salon. I love connecting with my clients and building friendships with you all. If you're interested in becoming a client of mine, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am currently only accepting new extension, styling, and haircut clients- but keep an eye out for when I open my books up again in 2027.
Outside of the salon, I love to do bridal hair. Getting to be a part of a bride's morning is always such an honor. Please head over to 'Bridal' if you're interested in having me as your stylist for your big day.
When I'm not in the salon or at a wedding venue, I love to spend time with my husband, our perfect fur child Pepper, and my friends and family. I love reality TV, scary movies, listening to True-Crime podcasts, getting a coffee, espresso martini, or trying a new restaurant.
I created Bleach Bomb Hair in 2020, when I first became an independent stylist. My brand, goals, and salon environments have all evolved over the years- from a shared suite in Woodbury, to renting a chair at Shear Perfection, opening up (and growing to max capacity) a micro salon, to now working in and operating my own 6 chair salon, it has been a crazy journey- but my love for my clients, my craft, and this industry has only grown bigger and bigger.
In June of 2026 I purchased Shear Perfection Salon from my mom, Deb. I renamed it Shear Collective, but am continuing her legacy of being a salon owner in downtown Red Wing. I am now taking all salon appointments in Shear Collective, but will continue servicing my brides and their trials in the Bleach Bomb Hair studio. (both salons are just a block a part from each other- so don’t worry if you accidentally go to the wrong one while we all adjust). I am incredibly excited for this new role and chapter. An appointment with me can look different for everyone- I love to hear all your gossip, your latest favorite things, discuss some movies or tv shows, or just simply tell me about your day. You never have to apologize for crying to me about something heavy, or coming in with dirty hair and sweatpants on, working on your laptop is 100% ok with me, as well as silent appointments. This is your time, and my biggest goal is that you leave feeling better than when you came in.
