About Alexa Pettit

Hey, I'm Alexa! I grew up here in Red Wing, MN. I absolutely love all things hair. Extension and lived-in color are some of my favorite services to do in the salon. I love connecting with my clients and building friendships with you all. If you're interested in becoming a client of mine, please don't hesitate to reach out. Outside of the salon, I love to do bridal hair. Getting to be a part of a bride's morning is always such an honor. When I'm not in the salon or at a wedding venue, I love to spend time with my fiance, our perfect fur child Pepper, and my friends and family. I love reality TV, scary movies, listening to True-Crime podcasts, getting a coffee, a good espresso martini, and am a huge foodie. I got engaged in October of 2024, and am an August 2026 bride, so I’m in the thick of wedding planning. I love all music and finding new artists, so please never hesitate to suggest I change the music to something you like more. As of June 1st 2026, I purchased Shear Perfection Salon from my mom, Deb. I renamed it Shear Collective, but am continuing her legacy of being a salon owner in downtown Red Wing. I am now taking all salon appointments in Shear Collective, but will continue servicing my brides and their trials in the Bleach Bomb Hair studio. (both salons are just a block a part from each other- so don’t worry if you accidentally go to the wrong one while we all adjust). I am incredibly excited for this new role and chapter.
